It's Seafair Already?

Seafair's here. Yay? spanning_time's never been to a Seafair event, so we don't know whether to be all that excited by it (plus they tout the Blue Angels so much it's annoying - Air Force childhood and background at work). That streak seems set to end with their first event for this year: Milk Carton Boat Racing. Displays of brilliant successes and amazing failures? Yes please.

The Baffle Gab Milk Carton Derby at Seafair
Most people think of the Blue Angels when they think of Seafair, but the festival is actually a month long affair, culminating with the famed air show. Help kick-off the festivities by cheering on the first event, milk-carton boat races on Greenlake. (The boats' flotation relies entirely on milk cartons.)
When: Saturday, July 1, from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm
Location:The southwest portion of Greenlake
Cost: Free; $5 donation for lunchtime show
Info.: 206.728.0123 x 103
Online: www.seafair.com
